Map Impact, the pioneering biodiversity and climate risk data provider, is excited to announce a new strategic reseller partnership with Bluesky International, the UK’s leading aerial survey provider. Together, they will enable the public and private sectors to use Map Impacts’ high-resolution, property-specific biodiversity insights and geospatial climate risk data products to support resilience, mitigation, and adaptation strategies.
Nature recovery and climate risk perils are increasingly important in strategic property asset and land management. As the impact of climate change on asset value starts to be understood, it’s crucial to understand how external environmental factors, increasingly impacted by climate change, can affect not only nature and people but also profit.
Bluesky, through its online Mapshop, will be the first to offer direct access to the Map Impact data for areas of interest specified by the customer. Bluesky will also provide the Map Impact data directly to customers on request for specific projects aligned with their other highly popular data services, delivering valuable insights for new and existing customers.
In reference to this announcement, Steve Keohane, Chief Commercial Officer from Map Impact, commented, “Bluesky is a well-loved and recognised leader in providing high-quality and accurate geospatial data that can inform decisions, shape policy, and provide detailed analytical insight. As our data is specifically designed to support decisions aligned to property-specific decisions for resilience, mitigation, and adaptation strategies, it felt like a natural fit.”
Both companies share the mission to enable the public and private sectors to work efficiently and cost-effectively, with access to the best available data and insights to support the key decisions necessary to meet a rapidly changing world.
Ralph Coleman, CCO of Bluesky, commented, “We see the addition of Map Impacts’ BiodiversityView and Climate Data services as delivering real value to both our existing customers and for supporting new customers with insights that may have been challenging to access before now.
Our customer base spans both the public and private sectors, and within this, there is a wide range of sectors which will benefit from this additional product offering.”
The data will be available online at Bluesky’s Mapshop in the coming month or via the Bluesky sales team.
